WORKING FROM THE HOSPITAL

Posted by Colleen Menning on

Now that I know the Graphic Designer is not able to help me with my project, it’s time to find another one who can create a design for my truck. The first guy was very helpful in recoloring the image I wanted to use but I still need a design for the graphic he created. My Husband had surgery today to remove a tumor from his lung so I will be staying with him in the hospital for a few days, so that will give me some time to search for someone new. I brought my laptop with me and am working from the hospital room while he’s recovering.

I decided to look for a Graphic Designer on Fiverr.com. I’ve heard of others using the website with pretty good success so I thought I’d put my project out there and see what offers I could get.

If you don’t know what Fiverr.com is, I’ll explain. Fiverr is a global online marketplace offering tasks and services, beginning at a cost of $5 per job performed (from which it gets its name). The site is primarily used by freelancers who use Fiverr to offer services to customers worldwide. You can post your project, whether you are looking for a drawing, illustration, logo design, company name ideas, business card design, content writing, pretty much anything you need, and professional freelancers will submit an offer with the dollar amount of what they are willing to do the job for. Then you can either accept the offer or decline it. It’s a great way to get professional services at a fraction of the cost. And anywhere we can save money is a great thing!

So I posted my project earlier today and I received 7 offers ranging from $35 to $250!  I decided to go with a lady that offered to do it for $75. I think that’s a great price for a custom design! I gave her the specifics and after a couple of messages back & forth, she came up with a great design IDEA! I loved it but it needed some tweaks so we are continuing to go back and forth through messages to try to get just the look I want. After all, this will be my rolling billboard so it HAS to be perfect! We shall see what the final result will be.
